This is the new incarnation/version of The Footsie Blog; I decided to switch from Blogger to Word Press just because I wanted to try something different. The blog will be the same as it was on Blogger, with what’s described in the tagline; I will be reposting some old (and some new) pictures in this week’s post as a start.
First off a picture of Supergirl in a ‘Polynesian’ version of her costume, based on and inspired by a concept from a 1968 issue of Action Comics (#372), drawn by Leonard Starr (original picture shown here.)
Second is a picture of Abby Archer, a character from the TV series Grossology shown in her normal clothes instead of her uniform, with her soles showing (the show’s art style doesn’t allow the showing of her feet in a normal fashion, so I had this picture made to show them.)
Next up, pictures of the one-time Batgirl of the early-to-mid 2000’s, Cassandra Cain, in the final issue of that title fighting her mother Lady Shiva (Woosan); for some reason, Cassandra’s barefoot, which I would never imaging someone like her being-obviously, it was extenuating circumstances.
One more time, more Supergirl, these being from issue #10 of the pre-New 52 Supergirl, showing her in glasses and a brunette wig as she tries to fit in with kids at a normal high school (consider this a dry run for what she is now on the Supergirl TV series and the comic book.) She’s not been as beautifully barefoot recently as she was in this run of comic books, which (IMHO) is a shame:
And finally, the image that’s a part of the blog title, shown in all of its glory.
